Capacity comes first
A single 7kW socket adds roughly 32 amps to a phase. Eight of them, charging together, will overwhelm many small commercial supplies. We measure your existing maximum demand, calculate spare headroom, and specify load management so the chargers throttle themselves rather than tripping your main incomer.
Where genuine headroom does not exist, the options are a supply upgrade through your DNO, on-site storage to buffer peaks, or a smaller phased rollout. All three are priced honestly rather than presented as a single inevitable upgrade.
Choosing the right charge point
Workplace parking where cars sit for eight hours needs 7kW or 22kW AC sockets and nothing more. Fleet depots turning vehicles around between shifts need faster AC or entry-level DC. Customer-facing destinations such as retail parks and hotels justify 50kW to 150kW DC, because dwell time is short and charging is part of the offer.
Billing, access and uptime
Every unit we install is OCPP-compliant and connected to a back-office platform, so you can restrict access by RFID or app, set tariffs per user group, reimburse employees accurately, and reconcile consumption against your energy bill. Remote monitoring flags faults before drivers report them, and our maintenance cover includes response targets rather than best endeavours.

EV Charging: your questions
How many chargers can my supply support?
It depends on your existing maximum demand rather than your fuse rating alone. The survey gives you a real number, and intelligent load management usually lets you install more sockets than raw headroom suggests.
Can we charge employees or the public for charging?
Yes. The back office supports per-user tariffs, RFID and app access, and public roaming where you want the units discoverable on charging maps.
Are grants available?
The OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme supports eligible organisations with a contribution per socket, subject to current scheme rules and caps. We check eligibility and handle the claim as part of the project.
Who maintains the chargers?
We do. Maintenance cover includes remote monitoring, firmware updates, planned inspection and a defined response target for faults.
